This program was initiated in Haldia and stems from the need to reduce high dropout ratio and low attendance in rural primary schools. One of the reasons for these problems from among the many other socio-economic reasons is monotonous and disinteresting method adopted for teaching.

TCSRD is working with Vikramshila, an NGO, for conducting training program for teachers and follow up of the training imparted, so as to ensure that the new teaching methods and techniques are practiced. The objective of the program is to develop a perspective on quality education among teachers and orient them on various methods & approach of teaching and to make the process of teaching and learning an enjoyable and non- monotonous.
