Empowerment means to equip or supply with ability; enable. TCSRD, by forming and promoting rural SHG helped in raising the economic and social status of women.

It also enables the TCL employees and students from India and abroad to volunteer for various developmental programs run by TCSRD or by other NGO.

Through its, Saksham program, TCSRD aims to strengthen the local governance systems and also builds up the capacities of school children to live the life of self worth.

TCSRD by providing technical and non technical support helped Coastal Gujarat Power Ltd (CGPL) to set up their sustainable social development projects in Mundra, Kutch.
